Another week done! I can’t believe its the end of March. January felt 1 million days long, and now its the end of March. Our students start state testing this week. We still have 2 weeks until Spring Break. I have 14 evaluations left to complete, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

The weather has typical spring-70 degrees one day, then 5 days of highs in the low 50’s. Friday, Saturday, and today are in the 70’s but big storms are coming later today. Then, back down to the 50’s.

Our backyard has become just one large pond. Every time it rains the whole place is flooded. I have to do something to alleviate the issue, but to have it fixed by a contractor is about $50,000. So, I’m trying to look into other solutions.

My allergies are still so bad. I felt horrible on Wednesday. I just wanted to sleep. I hate being allergic to everything (grass, trees, pollen, mold). Its miserable. Every morning I wake up with crusted eyes, a stuffy nose, and a headache.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. You’re handling things even with allergies. My meds are holding up pretty well, with the the big yellow dust has happened here. We had some issues in our yard and built sort of a trench at the sides which sloped to a plastic pipe we put underground that led to another downhill slope. We still have some areas which get pondy but it’s better. We did the trench thing primarily because our neighbor’s yard was draining everything to our yard. If you can figure out the slant I’d try the trench thing at least. We’re going to get in the 80s this week which is hot.

That is a lot of money to fix the yard. I hope you are able to find a more economical solution. May the days before break go quickly and without too much drama.
