He was mine to protect. Mine to adore. Mine to lose forever.
Icarus may not have flown particularly close to the sun, but he has fallen…right into the rough hands of Olympus's own Poseidon. Being held captive by the gentle giant wouldn't be so bad if Olympus wasn't on the eve of destruction…or if Poseidon stopped looking at him with those irresistibly stormy eyes.
Poseidon doesn't have time to babysit his increasingly bratty prisoner, but he has no Olympus is officially at war, and someone has to keep their best bargaining chip out of harm's way. The thing is, the longer Poseidon is with Icarus, the more he starts to care for his sworn enemy...and the more he realizes that Icarus isn't the villain he's been made out to be. There's a warmth to him, a vulnerability, that Poseidon finds difficult to ignore or deny.
Now with Circe and the Aeaens at the gate and Olympus a hair's breadth away from falling, Poseidon will have to make a difficult about himself, about his allegiances, and about the man who woke his heart from its long slumber only to threaten to break it for good...
Dark Olympus continues with Sweet Obsession, a M/M romance between Poseidon and Icarus. I loved the glimpses we got of Icarus in the previous books-a spoiled brat who had an easy life but it unravels very quickly. He winds up as Poseidon’s prisoner.
Dark Restraint left us not only with Icarus in Poseidon’s grasp, but on the brink of war with Circe and the Aeaens. So, you have two things happening-the romance between Icarus and Poseidon and the possible fall of Olympus. Of the two, I enjoyed the pending war more. Poseidon and Icarus weren’t my favorite couple. Poseidon has that grumpy vibe, but he is so caring. Icarus is one of those “Do whatever it takes to survive and damn who gets hurt”. I get it-he had a HORRIBLE upbringing, but man he was hard to love for me. They do have a sort of insta-connection/love vibe I am usually all for, but something kept me from really rooting for them.
Despite my struggle with Icarus, I did enjoy Sweet Obsession. I love this series and am really excited for where Robert takes it from here.

The Beast and His Beauty by Willow Winters, The Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard, Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven…then you will probably like Sweet Obsession!

I’ve enjoyed others in this series. I need to read the rest if I get a chance.
