I don't know why I immediately trusted Cyrus. He was stunningly gorgeous, nice, and so accommodating that maybe I felt too safe—maybe that was the first red flag.

Immortal Sun is a new fantasy romance from one of my autobuy authors-Rachel Van Dyken. I have been waiting for this book!!

Immortal Sun creates a whole new world for readers with legends and magics that blend with reality. Its a little bit of Greek lore mixed with Egyptian lore set in Washington. Cyrus is the Sun God and is working to complete his destiny. In order to do so, he needs Cleo. Cleo is on her own mission to find her twin brother who seems to have gone missing. His boss-Cyrus! It is difficult at times to like Cyrus because he is kind of a narcissistic jerk. His goal is oddly destruction of people (he is the god of creation….). This pits Cyrus and Cleo at odds, so we certainly have a bit of suspense happening!

I really enjoyed this book! The writing was great, the blend of myth and reality was interesting, and the characters were GREAT! I do love a grumpy/sunshine vibe, and Cyrus and Cleo have that going. I am a bit taken aback at the ending though (see my notes/spoilers below if you want to know)…
