The 10 books that will (most likely) never make it off my TBR
Truth time: Books languish and die on my TBR. Its like giving a book the kiss of death. Seriously.
So, I decided to take a good look at my TBR. These are the 10 books that have been there the longest. Have you read them? Convince me to read them! Please!
#10: Silent Night by CJ Kyle
#9: Forever Mine by Elizabeth Reyes (I own this one…)
#8: Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
#7: The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout (I think I might have to read another series before this though…)
#6: Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
#5: Unbelievable by Sherry Gammon (I loved Unloveable but never picked this one up…)
#4: Dark Kiss by Michelle Rowen
#3: Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout
#2: Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee (Again, I own this…)
And the oldest book on my TBR is…
#1: All of You by Christina Lee
Now, looking back, I can tell I was in a very different reading place when I put these on my TBR. So, Do I read them or delete them? How do you decide what stays on your TBR? In case you are wondering, these were added to my TBR in 2014…YIKES.
I haven’t read any of these! I find that when I’ve been going through my TBR over the last year and a half for Down the TBR Hole that there are a lot of books that went on the TBR that no longer appeal to me. I think we all change as readers over time and what interested us a few years ago, may no longer interests us now.
Well for now I just leave them. I have worked all but ONE ARC off my Netgalley which is not current. It is 2013. But I read a couple other 2013 ones this year and today reviewed one from 2016. Now my freebies are a whole other matter. Some of those I may never get to or I might DNF if I start and don’t like them. I am very careful about ARCs so I try to follow through on them all. I definitely lose interest in some books after a while and end up booting them off the TBR. But some I still really do want to read… one day. LOL
I know The Return is a follow-on series to Armentrout’s Covenant series and I’m not sure if it can be read on its own. I’ve only read the first two in the Covenant series so I have quite a ways to go (it’s a 5 book series). Wicked is the first in a trilogy and I’ve read the first two. It’s not her best but I still enjoyed them. A group the fights the Fae and the story takes place in New Orleans. I’m pretty excited to read the final one. Not sure if I’ve helped or made your TBR worse! LOL
I have a bunch of JLA books, which I think my daughter bought, but I have yet to read one. I know people love her, and I keep meaning to try one, but I never do.
I haven’t read any of these. I also have many on my TBR. So many I’d still like to read but it’s hard when I keep adding new ones.
If I didn’t yet own it I deleted them from my TBR pile. Horribe right? LOL
