Meet Miles from The Veil Diaries by BL Brunnemer
Miles is one of Lexie’s guys from The Veil Diaries. The story is about a teen who is a necromancer. She meets 5 guys who take her under their wings since she is new to their school. They slowly learn about her abilities and come to really care for her and save her ass a few times.
Of all the 5 guys, Miles is my favorite HANDS DOWN! So, let me tell you a bit about Miles:
He was cute, high cheekbones, and angled jaw. His chestnut hair was short but had a wave to it that looked completely natural. He had emerald eyes behind his black-rimmed glasses. He was leaner than the other boys, but his shoulders were still broad with some muscle to it. His baggy shirt spelled the word nerdy out with elements from the periodic table. I instantly loved it. He turned those green eyes on me.
Here is what I think Miles looks like…swoon!
Miles is adorable awkward in social situations and sometimes needs to be told that what he said was not cool. For example, upon meeting Lexie, he promptly insulted her and didn’t even realize it until Isaac and Ethan told him.
“You’re the new girl. I wouldn’t have expected you to take a hard class like this,” Miles said, his voice flat.
As the story goes on, you see how smart and sweet Miles is. He is an observer. He watches everything. He is the voice of reason for them all-the other guys can be hot headed and explosive, but not Miles. He is as steady as a rock. So, smart, calm, nerdy, and socially awkward! I just love him!
“So you memorized the textbooks?”
He snorted. “Not Intentionally.” he admitted; his voice still silky soft as it slid through my ear. “If I read something or see something, I can just remember it perfectly.”
“A photographic memory?”
“For places and things yes. For books, if I read them, I remember every word and can access that information at anytime. His voice lowered to a whisper. “It’s kind of weird.” I felt a large chunk of the wall around my heart crumble as I smiled to myself. Miles didn’t know what weird was.
The Veil Diaries is a slow burn YA reverse harem. If you are new to the RH thing, this is a good place to start. Also, the audiobooks are GREAT!
