Broken Souls and Bones

Broken Souls and Bones is a terrific fantasy romance! Special powers, villain or hero, enemies to lovers-this book has it all. The world building is great and there are so many layers-to the world, to the characters, to everything.

Lyra has a very special magical power that makes her important to the king. So, he basically enslaves her and assigns a watch guard/bodyguard, Roark. He works for the king, and the king is a bad guy, so he’s a bad guy…right? Lyra and Roark’s relationship is slow burn because he’s the bad guy…right? I was totally sucked into the story! The audio is fantastic as well if you enjoy that! Its hard to be unique in the world of romantic fantasy right now, but Andrews manages to do it and Broken Souls and Bones is a must read!
