She was the face that launched a thousand ships,The fierce beauty at the heart of Olympus,And she was never ours to claim.
*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus that's as sinful as it is sweet.*

In Olympus, you either have the power to rule...or you are ruled. Achilles Kallis may have been born with nothing, but as a child he vowed he would claw his way into the poisonous city's inner circle. Now that a coveted role has opened to anyone with the strength to claim it, he and his partner, Patroclus Fotos, plan to compete and double their odds of winning.
Neither expect infamous beauty Helen Kasios to be part of the prize...or for the complicated fire that burns the moment she looks their way.
Zeus may have decided Helen is his to give to away, but she has her own plans. She enters into the competition as a middle finger to the meddling Thirteen rulers, effectively vying for her own hand in marriage. Unfortunately, there are those who would rather see her dead than lead the city. The only people she can trust are the ones she can't keep her hands off—Achilles and Patroclus. But can she really believe they have her best interests at heart when every stolen kiss is a battlefield?

Wicked Beauty continues the Dark Olympus series and I have to say, Katee Robert is batting a thousand for me with these books. Wicked Beauty is a throuple story with a dash of former friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and a dash of the Hunger Games type battle mixed in. Except instead of picking Peeta, Katniss gets Peeta and Gale. YUM!

Helen wants to stop being a pawn for her uber powerful family and to do that, she has to strike out on her own. Luckily, the spot of Ares, the god of war, is up for grabs. She is willing to fight to the death for it so imagine her frustration when her brother, Zeus, announces her as the prize for whoever wins Ares. Achilles is sure he is going to win, especially with the help of his boyfriend, Patroclus. But, as they get closer to Helen, they both start to fall for her. I loved the interactions between these 3. Helen is used to the politics and posturing of being an Olympus elite, Patroclus is a master strategist, and Achilles is a determined beast (physically). Patroclus provides the care Helen needs but hates to admit, Achilles forces them both to stop thinking so much, and Helen teaches them how to survive the politics of Olympus.

Wicked Beauty is hot, and the story is wonderfully written. I am so glad this series will be continuing on because it is delightful.

About Katee Robert

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
