The Poseidon team are hard-bodied, fiercely competitive navy SEALs. But when a sensitive mission goes disastrously wrong, three of the team's finest will have to trust their hearts and instincts to uncover the truth…
"No man left behind" is inscribed in the DNA of every SEAL and Lieutenant Diego Torres is no exception. But with a team member killed—and the body missing—Diego's honor is sorely tested. Now his career and reputation are on the line, and a traitor is hiding among them. Diego wants answers…and only one woman has them.
Single mom Harper Maclean has two priorities—raising her son Nathan and starting a new life. Her mysterious new neighbor may be impossibly charming, but Diego asks too many questions about her past—and about the father of her child. Questions she fears will reveal her burning attraction for Diego, and ultimately put them all in danger's path.

Call to Honor is a romantic suspense revolving around Navy SEALs and treason. The premise is well executed and unique. I read a LOT of military romance, so for me to feel its unique is saying something!

Diego is a SEAL and on a recent mission, things went bad and a fellow SEAL on his team is killed. The government is putting the blame on the team and Diego is determined to clear his name. There is a possibility that the soldier who died, didn’t die at all, and he is engaging in treason. To clear his name, Diego starts staking out the dead soldier’s ex, Harper.

Harper hasn’t had contact with her ex since she told him she was pregnant at 18, and he took off. She has lived in total fear that his powerful family will come with their lawyers and take away her son, who is now 7. She hasn’t been with a man since she conceived her son, but when a new neighbor moves in next door, she is suddenly feeling interested again!

Call to Honor is a fast paced story that will keep you guessing! Is Harper’s ex alive? Is he a traitor? Will Diego be able to figure it out? Can he and Harper make a relationship work? The story is so multi-layered you will have a difficult time finding a stopping point! I loved Nathan. He was precocious and smart; he provided a depth to Harper as a character as well. He also provided some levity at times (seriously-how many different ways can that kid ask for a kitten!?). The plot is certainly deep and winding and I am looking forward to the next book in the series to continue the overarching plot line!

  1. I have a soft spot for military romance – when it’s done well and isn’t super over the top and unrealistic. And I really love catching a new series with the very first book so I don’t have to first go back and read 5 books before I can get to the one I was all excited about. LOL Even with the slightly cringey cover (hee hee) I really like the sound of this one!
