Sparks fly when an occult expert and a disgraced archeologist become enemies-with-benefits in this steamy romance.
Riley Rhodes finally has the chance to turn her family’s knack for the supernatural into a legitimate business when she’s hired to break the curse on an infamous Scottish castle. Used to working alone in her alienating occupation, she's pleasantly surprised to meet a handsome stranger upon arrival—until he tries to get her fired.
Fresh off a professional scandal, Clark Edgeware can’t allow a self-proclaimed “curse breaker” to threaten his last chance for redemption. After he fails to get Riley kicked off his survey site, he vows to avoid her. Unfortunately for him, she vows to get even.
Riley expects the curse to do her dirty work by driving Clark away, but instead, they keep finding themselves in close proximity. Too close. Turns out, the only thing they do better than fight is fool around. If they’re not careful, by the end of all this, more than the castle will end up in ruins.
Do Your Worst was a different take on the enemies to lovers trope and I thought it was really unique! Riley has decided to carry on her family’s tradition of curse breaking, but she is going to make it a business. Her first job finds her working along side an archeologist who is trying to repair his reputation. Clearly, being associated with Riley will not give him credibility in the science community.
These two have attraction right away, but Clark is determined to make her leave before she ruins his dig. He thinks she is a charlatan and tries to trap her into admitting it. It backfires, because Riley really does understand how to break curses. They push-pull each other and it is really good! The curse and the attempts to break it are interesting, and I liked both characters. Riley is dealing with insecurity about her life choices, Clark is dealing with insecurity about himself, and both of them want to prove they can do the job. It doesn’t occur to Clark that maybe helping each other can solve both their problems.
Once their chemistry explodes and Clark is finally over himself, these two are so perfect. They are supportive, thoughtful, and loving. Do Your Worst was a delightful change from typical enemies to lovers!

authors like Ali Hazelwood, Chloe Liese, Meghan Quinn…then you will probably like Do Your Worst!
I really love it when authors get creative on tropes and write them differently than what you normally see.
Me too!! Take the trope, but make it unique!
I really want to read this one! I like the Supernatural aspect of it!
