How far would you go to achieve happiness? What if it meant letting go of everything you'd once believed in?
Piper Allen is looking to spread her wings and unfortunately, her podunk hometown in Missouri is stunting her spiritual growth. Moving to Dallas to finish up college with her two friends, Stephanie and Nicole, she hopes to challenge herself to reach new heights. Her bohemian ways allow her to float through relationships frequently and with ease; when there are no strings attached, there is no chance of being hurt.
Texas rancher, Moye McKenzie, is a no nonsense, good ol' boy, who doesn't play games where matters of the heart are concerned. When this straight-shooter walks into Piper's life, sparks fly and tempers flare. Wanting to give her the life she deserves, Moye has to show her that getting hurt can happen whether you're holding onto the reins or not.
If she could just let go, Piper might be surprised to find she's someone's dream girl.
I had a difficult time getting into Dream Girls: Piper. I think I found Piper very immature. Immature characters who are in their 20’s really annoy me because by then, I feel you should have some sense! I also struggled with her need to do everything on her own. We get it, you’re an independent woman. Geez it just got on my nerves after awhile! She has these great friends whom she moved to a different state with but I felt like she was a bit pushy with them.
But Moye….le sigh! Dreamy! And a cowboy! Holy hotness! You should read the book for him alone. Great character!
Carrie is a wife and a mom who loves reading and sometimes writing stories of her own. It is impossible for her to write a book without a happy ending. Impossible. If you have trouble finding her, that is probably because she is traveling or at a concert. Music plays a very important role in her writing as she finds inspiration for her future characters. She loves romance novels and has too many favorite authors to list just one…but she will–Jay Crownover is one of her favs! She lives in the South with her husband and two boys.
Which Cover do you prefer??
I actually like both of these covers! I like the colors of the darker one but I like the legs in the other cover! I think the writing is easier to read on the darker cover though!
