I’m tired.I’m tired of running, tired of hiding, tired of always looking over my shoulder. Now my guys must endure this too.The clock is still ticking in my head.I feel him circling, getting closer and closer. The fear I carry is nearly suffocating. Not for me, but for my guys. I know what it’s like to have your family taken from you in the most brutal of ways. I won’t lose my family again. I will do whatever it takes to protect them. Even if that means I must face the monster who has haunted my nightmares and reality and kill him myself. Please forgive me, my Stone boys.I must do this to free you. And…to free me.
Free Me is book 4 (and the final book) in the WITSEC series by Ashley Rostek. You must read them in order. So, if you haven’t started the series, go back to the beginning and read them. I devoured these books and had to wait for book 4.
We pick up right where we left off: X has found Shiloh, the sheriff is doing some shady stuff, and Shiloh decides she knows what is best for everyone. She really got on my nerves in this book because she shuts everyone out and does what she thinks is best for them without any input from the guys. I get it, she is tough, but if they worked together, they could have ended the threat.
I love the guys. Seriously, they are amazing. This book really turns up the spice (almost to a too high level-they were having kinky sex daily while on the run). The book wraps up all the plot lines and gives us the end of Shiloh’s story with an epilogue. While this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, it was great!
