Being a single father in witness protection isn’t ideal, but it’s the only option to keep the baby I technically stole safe. Staying hidden is simple until the night I beat down the door of the only doctor in town, demanding help, and I meet the woman who changes everything. I’m danger and violence; she’s innocent and caring. I’ll corrupt her, and potentially bring the threat of the MC after me to her doorstep.Too bad for Dr. Caradee Blacksmith, I’m too selfish to care.Because I want her no matter the risk.
Caradee
I should be terrified of the massive stranger with tattoos covering every inch of skin and penetrating gray eyes that conjure dirty thoughts I have no right to think. But there’s a sick baby in his arms. He’s not what I expect, throwing my perfectly controlled life into a type of chaos I had no idea I needed. He’s everything I never knew I wanted, making me feel alive with every flaming touch.
But when men who look like him come to town wearing leather vests with hate and violence behind their eyes, I have to decide if this new way of living is one I’ll fight for or if I’ll turn my back on the man who showed me how amazing it is to be obsessively loved.
Hidden by the Doctor is the 4th book in the In Clear Sight series and features small town doctor, Caradee, and an MC outlaw on the run with an adopted baby. Miller grew up in the MC-his dad was the pres. But, after he is ordered to kill another club, he realizes he doesn’t want to be part of it any more. So, he enters the witness protection program and ends up in the small Texas town where Caradee practices.
I wanted to like Caradee, but I just really struggled with her. She is a doctor, but she is so “woe is me” about her life. Her mom is poor and unmotivated to do anything now, her exes are scum, and she lives in the town she grew up in and makes no money. I felt for her initially-I mean she overcame a difficult childhood of poverty-but she is such a winer about it all. Maybe I was just irritable as I was reading. I liked Miller well enough-he is very “to the point” and a bit brash, but overall, likable. The baby is so sweet and seeing Miller take on the role of “dad” was endearing for sure.
Overall, this was a solid read. It is very spicy, so some of you will love that! It has the danger aspect as well because Miller is on the run from a dangerous MC.

authors like Anna Hackett, Kaylee Ryan, Riley Edwards…then you will probably like Hidden by the Doctor!
I haven’t heard of this author before but you definitely have me fascinated and that COVER is smokin’, his gaze just gives me chills lol I can see how the heroine would be frustrating to read though. Not a big fan of the ones that complain and whine all the time.
