A single father struggles to change for his daughters and the woman he loves in this second book in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series from New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando.
As a single father of two girls and the sergeant at arms for the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club, Jack “Knuckles” Chester doesn’t have much free time. And having earned his road name from his reputation as a fighter, Knuckles isn’t one to back away from a challenge.
But what he'll never admit out loud is that his two daughters have changed him irrevocably, softened him even. And these two girls are the only women who will ever hold his heart forever. That is, until he meets Celina.
Celina is nothing like the women Knuckles used to date. She’s a journalist for the local newspaper, and basically just has her life together. And the last thing she wants is to be involved with a Cursed Raven. But when the ripped, badass biker worms his way into her heart, she has trouble remembering all the reasons they would never work.
But when a shocking story is published her newspaper, it breaks the thin trust she has with Knuckles. Will she lose him forever? Or will Knuckles fight to keep Celina in his life?
Knuckle Down is book 2 in the Cursed Ravens MC series but you can read it as a stand alone. The book starts off with the epilogue to Ace of Hearts as the heroine is Erin’s cousin Celina and the hero is Cursed Ravens enforcer, Knuckles.
Ace of Hearts was a huge hit for me because I adored Erin. Celina and Knuckles are good characters, but they didn’t wow me like Erin and Ace. I did love that Knuckles is a single dad to two girls. That really added a layer of depth to his character. As a fairly violent guy for the MC, having 2 daughters was so contradictory! Celina and Knuckles both have relationship trust issues due to their previous relationships that they have to overcome.
The climax of the story seemed very obvious to me. Celina is a journalist-of course she is going to consider writing a story about the Cursed Ravens MC. It did unfold in a less obvious way, but still very predictable. However, there were some major curve balls thrown near the very end that I did NOT expect. So, kudos to Fernando for that!
If you like single dad stories, MC clubs, or independent heroines you will find lots to enjoy in Knuckle Down!

authors like Lani Lynn Vale, Aurora Rose Reynolds, Laura Kaye…then you will probably like Knuckle Down!
Ohhh single dad! Is it just me or you rarely see that, it’s always single moms. That is actually kind of special *nodding and proceeding to put on glasses*.
Great review.
You’re the second person I know to be reading this series and now I’m mighty curious about it. Thanks for the heads up, Samantha!
I really liked book one more than book 2. Book 2 (Knuckle Down) wasn’t bad, but I just didn’t connect with it as much as book 1!
Great review.
Wasn’t Knuckles and Celina so good to follow! I loved him and his girls. Great review, and I am glad you enjoyed this one too.
