Ride Dirty is the story of Caine and Emma. Caine has a very dark past, and as a result, has a pretty messed up present. Emma is the antithesis to all that darkness. As a kindergarten teacher, she is surrounded by goodness and cheer all day. But, she is lonely; with no family left, Emma has only a handful of close friends in her life. When an attempted mugging is thwarted by Caine, a chain of events is set off that changes both their lives forever.

Caine was WAY darker than I anticipated. You don’t know much about him from the previous books, so getting his story is a new experience. With such a traumatic past, its no surprise he has such a twisted view of life. But, he still choses to do something good by working with the Raven Riders. He is worried his terrible past will push Emma away. He doesn’t give her credit for her compassion and understanding.

Throughout all the personal turmoil between these two, there is the threat of danger. Emma has a stalker and Caine is determined to keep her safe. I hadn’t guessed the identity of the stalker, but after it was revealed, it seemed pretty obvious. Not sure why I didn’t pick up on it sooner!

Ride Dirty is a glimpse back into the world of the Raven Riders MC and into the soul of a shattered man who needed a redemption he didn’t think he deserved. Its short and sweet, so its a good way to fill a few hours!
