Mouth to Mouth by Tessa Bailey is exactly what I love about her books-its sweet, its got a growly, grumpy alpha, and a smart, kind heroine! Rory is an ex-con who doesn’t feel he has anything to offer Olive. Olive is a sheltered girl who grew up on the internet (her family had a youtube show) and is spreading her wings.
I thought both Rory and Olive were delightful characters. Olive did kind of annoy me at the end with her actions, but its minor. Both of them are likable enough you can easily look past her dumb behavior for the moment! Rory and his brothers are super close and are working their butts off to get out of debt (their father’s fault) and start their own lives. Olive moved half way across the country to get away from the family that shunned her from their show when she wasn’t as ‘cute’ as her younger siblings. If you want a fairly quick read with a virgin, an ex-con, and a beach setting, this is a perfect pick!
I can’t wait for Rory’s brothers to get a book! Rory’s prison time was the result of defending one of his brothers. There is a strange relationship blooming between the brother and a ‘meathead’ type guy that has me totally intrigued!
