My 2020 Reading Challenges!

Posted December 21, 2019 in review Tags:

Last year I kind of decided not to do any challenges. That did not improve my reading. So, this year, I am trying some challenges again! Here are the ones I have decided on (Click on the title to go to the challenge page):

Reading Assignments Challenge

I will be joining Professor AuthorLuv’s beginner class (1 book a month by a chosen author) and I will be focused on reading Christine Feehan! Professor MixItUp’s class will also be on my schedule at the beginner level. The books will come from my TBR jar.

Total books: 8 for January, February, March, and April

Romanceopoly

Last year I was all gungho to start this and then I sort of let it fall by the wayside because some of the squares just did NOT appeal to me at all (they weren’t really romance-historical fiction was a different square than historical romance). But, I do think I am going to give it a shot this year. I am going to do the “tourist” level so I am just reading the genres. Will I stick with this one? I don’t know. I feel least sure about this challenge!

Total Books: 15 (one from each genre)

2020 Cloak and Dagger Challenge and the Medical Examiners Reading Challenge (I’m combining these two)

The Cloak and Dagger challenge focuses on any mystery/suspense/thriller book. I am going for the amateur sleuth level (5-15 books) and hoping for 12. I’m combining this with the Medical Examiners challenge because you have to state the character name and cause of death to get credit. I figure these two will pair well together!

Total books: 12

Start On Your Own Shelf Challenge

Ok, this is pretty simple but I really like the star theme since it matches my blog theme! Again, my goal here is 12 books (1 per month) that I already own and have owned for more than a year.

Total books: 12

  1. I love the idea of Romanceoply, but I tend to read the same type of romances all the time. I am always trying to read my shelf, and I have gotten better. One book per month is a great and attainable goal. Good luck with all of these.

  2. Great list of challenges you have here hun. The only one I am doing is Romanceopoly but I am going full force with it. There are some genres like historical fiction and urban fantasy I want to read more of so this is the push I need hehe

Hope your reading this year is much better for you in 2020
