Goodreads
Dolly Jennings has wanted one man since she was sixteen, but he’s kept her at arm’s reach. Time has passed and she’s all grown up now, with a body that he can’t ignore.
Brandon Knight has wanted Dolly for longer than he should have, but he thought she deserved someone better. No longer able to control his desires, he’s giving up on staying away, and claiming his woman.
When Brandon finally gives in, can he prove himself worthy of Dolly? Will Dolly throw sass and southern sayings all over the place?
Absolutely!
Warning: This short story is packed full of big hair, big attitude, and big curves. Dolly holds her own, but the hero always ends up on top. *slow wink* Grab your boots and cowboy hat… We’ve got a couple of cherries to pop!
Oh, Alexa Riley, you dirty, dirty whores! Seriously, these books are like smut crack. The Virgin Cowboy is exactly what you expect from AR.
I have been wanting Dolly and Brandon’s story since the beginning. Dolly is the only girl in the family and she is loud, brash, and so loving. I thought it was hilarious that for years she has been referring to Brandon as “baby daddy” when she speaks about him to anyone. Seeing Dolly deal with the years of self doubt caused by Brandon’s apparent lack of interest and action was so real.
Also, you do get a bit of OW drama. Not that Brandon pays her any attention, but June is certainly…forward. Brandon has only had one conversation with her that could give her any indication he might be interested but she totally misconstrued what he was saying. Even after Dolly put her in her place she isn’t quite ready to let Brandon go.
The only thing that really bothered me about this book was how she called him Daddy. Baby Daddy? Fine. That was actually funny. But when they were having sex and she is calling him Daddy…ewwww…just no. That really bothers me. It might not bother other people though so to each their own!
I still think Roping the Virgin is my favorite of this series though!
