I liked Blaire. I love attorney heroines-they are whip smart and well spoken. She really loves what she does and doesn’t have a problem with lots of work. I also love that she is wary of the whole alpha male thing and expresses her fear that its toxic.
I see men like him every day. My office is full of them. That controlled, alpha vibe stops being attractive when you peel off the suit. They’re just like other men–overgrown children who want a woman to fight for them.

Holt is dedicated to his job as well, but he puts some serious work into getting Blaire. I always love that in books. I love a man who pursues! However, even when he realizes he is falling for Blaire, she lives in a different state and he isn’t willing to leave his family business. Holt and Blaire aren’t sure how to make it work, but I love that they both agree to try!
Sweet and heat combine as is common in Locke’s books and Restraint fits the bill! While it wasn’t a perfect book for me, I enjoyed it! It’s fairly low angst and has great secondary characters to lighten things up! If you like more mature characters, fun family dynamics, and steamy times, Restraint is a perfect weekend read!
