Four houses. Traditions. Secrets. And romance waiting at every turn. Welcome to Lunar Academy. Which house will you choose?

Nadia Hazel came to the academy for its academics. What she finds is a side of herself she never knew existed. One that breaks rules, let's curiosity lead her places it shouldn't, and thinks Ryan Grayson looks really good naked.

Ryan Grayson has never given much thought to Nadia Hazel - until now. She's smart, beautiful, and just the kind of feisty he's been looking for. So what if she isn't from a prestigious family like his?

When the two find themselves pulled into a secret organization hidden within the academy, they discover chemistry and mystery make one heck of a combination.

Wolf Born is book 1 in the Lunar Academy series. I kind of went into this blind. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Part PNR, part “academy” book, I found the premise to be interesting. There is the plot of danger and at the end of the book its still unknown who is actually the bad guy. The relationship between Ryan and Nadia is sweet and I am looking forward to more. This is really more “novella” length as the story appears to be broken into 4 parts. However, upon looking at the next 3 books in the series, it appears they feature a different couple in each. So, I’m kind of confused because if this book isn’t continuing, then there is SO MUCH of the story left to be told. So, for now, I’m giving this 3.5 stars. If the rest of the books feature different couples and a different storyline, I will lower my rating. If they feature a different couple but follow the same plot, then I suppose that is okay.

I liked the narrators for Wolf Born (Amelie Griffin and Erik Bloomquist) but there were times when the male narrator would add these strange pauses that made him seem almost ‘valley girl’ esque in his speech. It was distracting but it didn’t ruin the audio for me. The story is short the the audio was only a couple of hours and it made a great listen while gardening!

Fans of the academy books that are the rage right now will enjoy Wolf Born for sure! I think readers will also appreciate an academy book that isn’t about high school (they are in college). Add in the 4 different types of wolves and Wolf Born gives you an intriguing world to visit.
