After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.

But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.

With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone.

He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

The Catch by K. Bromberg is NOT A STANDALONE! I repeat, not a standalone! You have to read book 1, the Player first.

The Catch picks up right after the bombshell ending of The Player. You are thrown right back into the drama of Easton’s trade, Scout’s lie, and the shitstorm that follows. While I expected this book to focus more on Scout trying to save her relationship with Easton, that problem is actually solved fairly early on. After that, Bromberg dropped more bombshells on me than I expected!! I never saw some of these coming and it was like one right after another!!! I was thrilled that the main conflict of the story was not the relationship status between Scout and Easton. I struggle with books that use that trope. These two have to weather so many storms though! Holy shit did Bromberg blow my mind. I serious can’t explain enough how wonderful this book and series is because Bromberg has taken a trope (pro athlete) that has become trite and breathed new life into it.

You get answers about both Scout’s father and Easton’s father which were both shocking, frustrating, and anger inducing! You get answers about Easton’s future and Scout’s plans which were surprising at times!

This review is hella vague, I know. But seriously, go into The Catch kind of blind. I have given you the heads up that it will be a minefield and you will LOVE it. Bromberg is a brilliant author who has repeatedly earned her spot on my top author list.

About K. Bromberg

New York Times Bestselling author K Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate but can’t help to love.

A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow.

Since publishing her first book on a whim in 2013, Kristy has sold over one and a half million copies of her books across sixteen different countries and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over thirty times. Her Driven trilogy (Driven, Fueled, and Crashed) is currently being adapted for film by Passionflix with the first movie slated to release in 2018.

With her imagination always in overdrive, K Bromberg is currently scheming, plotting, and swooning over her latest hero. You can find out more about him or chat with Kristy on any of her social media accounts.
