Non-Bookish News:

My husband and I are going house hunting today! I am so stressed over the process it has actually caused me to break out in hives. We can’t officially purchase until May due to a previous bankruptcy and foreclosure so I feel like we are doing this house hunting too early. I mean, what if I fall in love with a house but it will be gone by the time we are officially able to finance?!? What if the financing doesn’t go through quickly and we end up stuck paying month to month in our apartment!?! I just think about the 1001 ways this could go badly for us and its hard to take. But, I am going house hunting today anyway!

I hope y’all have a super happy Valentine’s day! Anyone have great plans?? My students and coworkers brought in an abundance of candy Friday and I managed to make myself quite sick off all the sugar! Thankfully, I am off Monday for another day to recover!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Ooooh. House hunting. That sounds both fun and terrifying. (Not to mention expensive.) I wish you guys luck. I hope you find the perfect home and all the other pieces fall into place. I got Us this week too. I read it that very day because I’d wanted this book so badly. (And also it came on my birthday and I’ll do what I want.) 😉 I picked up Sugar Daddy and After We Fall this week, too. I love Sawyer’s books so I’m excited about this new series. And I truly believe Marquita’s books don’t get the attention they should. I’ve really enjoyed every single one of the ones I’ve read so far.

Hope you have a great week!

    • I love Marquita Valentine! I totally agree with you-I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of her sooner! I just love her writing! I totally fan girl over her because anyone who loves romance novels should read her! And I am super excited about the new Sawyer Bennett series as well-it sounds so good! And I love her Cold Fury series.
I haven’t started Us yet. I loved Him and I am nervous!!!

  2. House hunting sounds so exciting, but definitely also stressful! Yikes about the hives! Those suck, so feel better! I would have all the same worries as you though about the 1001 things that could go wrong, so it’s not just you. Then again, you probably won’t find the perfect place *immediately*, so it’s probably good to start early. And it looks like you got some great books. Enjoy your week 🙂

    • Yes, house hunting today was great but its still overwhelming! So many decisions and of course, I fell in LOVE with one of the houses we saw today. Hopefully it will stay on the market another month to 6 weeks! Its perfect for us but its priced high and needs some work so our agent felt pretty confident that it won’t go fast!

  3. Hey, don’t sweat the house hunting!! Try and have fun. I think it’s okay to get out there and look now because you’ll get a feel for the homes for sale right now and when you’re ready to walk in with the $$$, you’ll have a good idea of the homes that have been sitting on the market and may be ready to DEAL 🙂 Just remember, if it was meant to be, it will (corny, I know, but it works.)

Awesome book haul, girlie!!! I need to beef up my romance books 🙂 I love Sawyer Bennett’s books!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!
