It was a very rainy week here in SW Ohio. Flooding has been a real issue. Thankfully, the one day it was nice was the day of the eclipse! We had a great view and were in the 99% totality. My sister was in the path of totality and several coworkers drove to be in the path (it wasn’t far). I did not go because the traffic was crazy. So many people traveled to the path of totality! But, it was a cool thing to see from my back yard.
Then it rained every day for the rest of the week. Downpours of rain. Everywhere was flooded. As someone with 4 dogs, this was a rough week. They came in soaking wet and muddy every time. Thankfully, this weekend is nice (and warm). It is suppose to stay warm this week. I am hoping it will be relatively dry (there is a chance of rain every day).
Back to work this week, but the countdown to the end of year has begun. 31 days until the last day of school. State testing has begun as well. So, for the next 3 weeks, I’m pretty limited in what I can do. I can’t pull kids for IEP testing because they are state testing, I can’t do counseling groups, and I only have 13 evaluations to complete before the end of the year. Most of them are seniors so it will be a very easy and quick to complete those reports.
My triglycerides are high according to my recent blood work. So, I have to work on that. My weight is up as well. I just have no will power any more. So, I need to get my health under control.
I’m slowly working on updating the blog. So, if you see anything that isn’t working, let me know. Its been awhile since I made changes so I am afraid I will break something!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
We were way off the path of totality, but it was neat viewing the moon moving over the sun (with the glasses). It didn’t really get dark in NJ. My daughter drove to Indianapolis. It took about 3 hours to get there and over 7 to get back due to traffic, but I think it was worth it.
Exciting you got to see the eclipse. We were just too busy with too many other things right then. And you have not much school left!
