It was a busy week! Monday I went to the orthopedist and they formally diagnosed frozen shoulder and gave me a cortisone shot. Then they set me up with physical therapy. I had two physical therapy sessions this week (Wednesday and Friday), and two next week. That is all I can afford! Its $100 a session. The doctor said 4 is enough thankfully (the PT wants to see me more, but its not an option). My shoulder is feeling better. There is some range of motion limitations still, but very little pain and only at the more extreme ends of the range of motion.
Tuesday I went with my husband to his doctor’s appointment. The medication is working great for him and his bloodwork came back looking excellent. Thank goodness!
This is the last gasp of summer break. I have to go to a meeting with the county all day on Wednesday. Since I work for the county, who then assigns us to schools, we have a whole county meeting before school starts. With all employees basically being assigned to schools all over the county, this is the only time the entire staff is together, so its all the important stuff-training, new information, etc. Then my school district starts back with staff in service days on Monday the 11th. Summer will be missed!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Good to get those medical appts finished up. I needed dry needling to get my frozen shoulder the last 10% but it’s never recurred. Enjoy the last of summer. It’s beautiful here this week 80 and cool breezes.

That is awesome that you are recovering so quickly. It’s been over a year for me. PT is expensive. You should see if your insurance will cover this PT app (I cannot remember the name right now – maybe Hinge Health?). There are also tons of YouTubes out there which didn’t require a lot of equipment.
Yes, I did look into hinge health. I am on some kind of wait list apparently?! Annoying!
Enjoy the last bit of your summer break! Since we only have 2 high school librarians, I rarely get to meet with her other than once or twice a year. Plus the other one is doing so many other things at her school as she was a teacher there before she became the librarian, she often doesn’t reply to emails very quickly. So sometimes I feel like I have to try to work with librarians in other districts, etc. It’s part of why I belong to both the state, regional, and national library organizations. I’m reading ZomRomCom right now and enjoying it!
