- Walking in Darkness by AL Jackson

eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

Another week in the books! We had Tuesday off for Veteran’s day. Honestly, a random Tuesday off made the week feel SO LONG. I have so many reports to write as well. Plus, my boss is coming in to evaluate me again Wednesday. It always makes me nervous.
I felt like I got nothing done at work this week too. It was one of those weeks where it just felt like the day was over and I couldn’t figure out how! And now we only have a week and 2 days until Thanksgiving. After that, only 3 weeks until Winter Break! If you have ever worked in a school, you know the weeks before winter break are chaotic at best and down right nightmarish at worst.
My carpal tunnel is really bothering me. Its worse at night (I sleep weird and no matter how I have tried to change the way I sleep, I always end up back in my typical weird way (on my stomach). I have compression gloves and braces with metal reinforcing them, and its still bad. For a long time, it was helping and while it might bother me at night, I wasn’t having any issues with numbness during the day. Now however I’m back to have some occasional daytime numbness. I’m not sure what to try next. I do not want to do surgery.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you’re able to figure out that carpal tunnel thing. I had a short period where I had to sleep with one of those glove things on one of my wrists. I’m dealing with a really bad neck muscle sprain or something. We have one week before Thanksgiving, and then all of that week off thankfully. Then like you, 3 weeks till winter break. And you’re right, those last 3 weeks are crazy! Testing and kids done, just so much! I hope you have a good week!
I am sure your evaluation will go well. I have had carpel for over 20 years. The stretches really help, and the strength exercises. I gave up a lot of things that aggravated it (knitting, crocheting, gaming, using a mouse) and it helped too.
I hope you have good focus to get things done this week and then relax and rest over the holidays. Even if you visit doctors, it’s hard to find ones that know enough about your condition or combination of conditions. Wishing you good rest and some solutions for your issues.

Hope you have a good week!
I have carpal tunnel braces to wear at night. I only wear them when it gets really bad because the braces are annoying. I hope you find a solution soon!
