Clearly by my new books this week, I am really vibing with true crime and crime fiction this week. I’m super excited to listen to the book about Pat Nixon because we hear so little about her. And her husband was such a smarmy guy, I want to know how she handled everything.

This week I have a “soft start” to work/school. Monday I have 2 meetings they need me to attend for transfer students, then another one on Tuesday. Wednesday I have the mandatory all day training with the county (my employer). I work for a county educational service center (ESC) who supplies related services provides (speech paths, occupational therapists, and school psychologists like me) to districts. Because all the employees at the ESC are in different school districts all across the county, we only have 1 day where everyone is together. I’m excited this year because I will actually know people going into the day; I was a new employee last year and knew no one! Thursday and Friday I have nothing on the schedule, so those will be my last two days of summer break.

I am LOVING the Olympics. I love the positivity and the vibes-athletes supporting each other, Snoop Dogg genuinely having the time of his life, and Flavor Flav throwing money around to help people. I’m not loving the drama (female boxer is accused of being a man), but I think that happens every year. I just wish people would stop jumping on every random piece of information as if it were fact and the determine it means something it 100% doesn’t. But, here is my favorite pic so far (Suni, Jordan, and Captain Benson are GIRL POWER):

Today (Sunday), I am going to a baby shower for a friend, so it might take me a bit to check out everyone’s Sunday Post.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Nice to have a soft start this week and get to see some friends you have found over the past year. I want to watch more of the Olympics but am not getting as much as I would like.

I hope you have a great start of the season, and the Flavor Flav story is truly my favorite of this olympics.
