Monday I had to travel for a doctor appointment (my endocrinologist is about 90 min away-I could find one closer, but I have been going there for years and I like the doctors). High protein low carb is going well. I have lost weight and my cholesterol is down (I’m really focusing on cutting sugars). But my liver and kidney enzymes were slightly elevated. She isn’t concerned yet, but it is certainly something we will keep an eye on.

Then I got a call from another doctor that a different test had come back “abnormal”. She asked me to do a telehealth appointment that day to review it. She said she wasn’t concern and that we will just repeat the test in a year. So, thankfully, no need to worry yet.

The rest of the week was chill-just me and the dogs. But, the Olympics started Friday and I am loving it!! It is cool to see an Olympics in a place I have visited! I was in Paris in 2018. I really enjoy streaming during the Olympics. Years ago, before streaming, you had to have a DVR or a VCR to record everything at the crazy times. Now, I can just hop on to Peacock and find the replays! Its great! I have always been an fan of the Olympics and find I will watch all kinds of strange sports I wouldn’t watch any other time. But, my favorite summer Olympic sport is gymnastics for sure. Saturday I watched qualifiers in gymnastics (mens and womens), surfing (mens and womens), 2 person rowing (womens), and the finals for synchronized diving (womens 3 M). Here are some of my pictures from Paris in 2018.

Saturday I pressure washed the outside of the house and that was extremely satisfying. You can just see how clean everything gets and it requires little effort from me-just pull the trigger on the sprayer. It was amazing how much grime has accumulated that I didn’t really notice until I started washing it all away.

Today I am meeting up with some friends for dinner and I am really looking forward to seeing them. We are all teachers (we used to work together) and I miss having friends at work I was this close too.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

It’s great that you are seeing results with your diet modifications. I find I need to see some results to keep it going. I haven’t not watched the Olympics in many games, but I always like to check the highlights.
