It’s the last Sunday of the year! 2024 has been rocky for sure. I’m not really sad to see it go!
My husband and I stayed home for Christmas this year, so its been a week of eating, napping, and binge watching. It has been so nice just being at home with the dogs and having nothing to do. I did get my hearing aid back on Friday, so I’m glad that stress is over.
The weather here has been swampy and warm (for December). It was 60 degrees yesterday. The biggest issue has been the rain. So. Much. Rain. With 3 dogs, that means So. Much. Mud. I have purchased about a million things to help-special mat for the door, paw wipes, dog shammy, paw scrub brush. So far, the shammy is the best. It doesn’t help that the beagles are determined to get the mole that is wreaking havoc on the back yard.
I’m off for this week as well, and my husband is off Monday-Wednesday. So, more binge watching, napping, and eating. I’m hoping to squeeze in at least 1 more book before the end of the year.

It has been raining a lot here, but at least it’s not snow. I do like the mild temperatures though. Glad your hearing aid came back, hope it’s working well and that you got a lot of R&R for the upcoming new year.

I had a busy week with my sister being here from Scotland with her boyfriend. They left yesterday, so I’m hoping for a much more relaxed week. Like you I am also going to be glad to see 2024 gone. Here’s hoping we both have a better 2025.
It’s good to do nothing isn’t it? And I can imagine the mess the dogs are making with all that rain!
