Nothing
- Maybe something? Maybe nothing. I am in a real rut here.
All my students came back from break all excited about Stanley cups. I am confused.

- Long Haul by Frank Figliuzzi
- Bound to the Shadow Prince by Ruby Dixon
Back to work is always hard after a break. It is so exhausting! I had to hit the ground running for sure because I have so many kids to evaluate. I spent my whole week testing/assessing kids. This weekend, I had to write the reports. It’s a hamster wheel. Next week, 5 evaluation meetings, more kids to test, more reports to write. Round and round forever.
I ordered a walking pad (like a treadmill but moveable) so I can hopefully get more exercise in. It is too cold to walk outside and in 6 months it will be too hot to walk outside. I have developed asthma as I have gotten older and my lungs can’t handle the cold air. In the summer, my lungs can’t handle the allergens. Hopefully this will keep me moving. I’m 44 and I need to seriously think about my health.
Still no reviews posted. I didn’t even do a Sunday Post last week. I’m hoping now that I am back in the routine of school I will get back into the routine of reviewing. My netgalley backlog is long.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
I saw a walking pad commercial on tv last night and was thinking I could fit something like that in my house. Wondered if my dogs would be a problem though. I need to get some exercise as well. I think I like your Stanley cup, lol. I did get my niece one for Christmas. I personally like a brand called Bru-Mate better, small business owner, and from some tests I’ve seen keeps things cold even better than the Stanleys. But I don’t need to spend that kind of money! My first few days back at school were crazy busy too! I’m actually hoping for a snow day this week. Hope you have a good week!
I know what you mean about the return to work being exhausting. i feel like that first week back is the worst trying to get back into the routine and get your brain warmed back up to work and they never seem to ease you in. Good luck with your walking pad. I’ve seen a few people post about enjoying them and I do get tempted to get one to get some more steps in as I’m at my desk 8 hours a day and then it’s dark out so I don’t tend to walk much in winter. I just worry I’ll use it for a week and lose interest as that’s how many things go for me. I do think it would be great on an evening to use when watching tv.
I don’t get the cup cult either, but I have seen the ladies at work all ga-ga for them. It’s a cup. Hope the walking pad does the trick. I am not sure if I could walk and do my job, but I admire those who can
I’m going to have to check out what the heck a walking pad is, it sounds like a great idea. I don;t get walking around with a big jug of liquid in general, so the Stanley Cup fad seems strange to me. If I had that I’d have to pee like 40 times a day! I’m currently reading Whisking It All by Cara Dion. It’s a very chefy steamy romance!
I feel you. I am suddenly feeling very behind. Just when I think things are handled a new problem pops up. I hope you find some solutions. Hopefully, this week will be productive and you will feel more energy going forward.

Well the walking pad seems indeed like a great idea!
