Well we had adventures in plumbing this week. It was not fun. They came Tuesday, spent about 30 minutes clearing the clog with multiple special tools, and the we realized later that the clog was not, in fact, cleared. So they came back Wednesday and stuck a camera down there. confirmed there was still a clog, and said they would have to replace the pipe. They came back Friday afternoon (they tried to reschedule but we said no way) replaced the pipe, and now we are out $2000. Apparently there was a seal inside the pipe that dislodged and caused the clog. I spent most of the week just waiting around for the plumbers to arrive.
Luna had a quick follow up vet appointment to get her second Lepto shot. Typically, for quick shot appointments, the tech just takes the dog back, gives the shot, and brings them back. Luna was having NONE of that. They had to carry her. It was pitiful. Thankfully, she didn’t throw a fit when they picked her up.
We let all 4 dogs sleep with us. They all want to be on me, so usually Luna and Sammy are cuddle up by my head and upper back, Dean lays between my legs, and Ranger lays with his back down my side. In the middle of the night, either Sammy or Luna got me in the face with a claw. It woke me up, but I went back to sleep. When I got up on the morning and looked in the mirror, it was kinda scary. There was blood smeared all over my face and a big blood scab by my eye. So, that was fun.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

It’s never a cheap visit from the plumber. I hope this repair holds up. Wow! Dangerous sleeping with your pups though it sounds like quite the cuddle-fest.
Plumbing is no joke and I don’t enjoy it. I have learned how to clear clogs but not replace pipes in the crawl space. Lulu is small but I only let her sleep with us on vacation. Otherwise, it’s the crate. I hope this week is less eventful.
That sucks about the plumbing issues (and the money!). I’ve been having issues with my internet company, so I figured out how to fix it myself, which was not fun, but having my internet back is great! lol.
Ooh, I can’t wait to see your thoughts on the new Nalini Singh. I’m going to start it this week. 🙂 Have a great week, Sam!
It is so frustrating when you have to wait for the plumber! Also it seems you really are their moms and they just want you Samantha! It’s the same with my dog LOL
I had some vet issues with reactions after the shots the same week as this! I had to have someone come out and fix a clog a couple months ago and now my sink is running slow again. Ugh. Don’t want to pay for that after the electrical issue I just got fixed. The joys of home-ownership, am I right?
