Happy July! This is my favorite month because it is 100% work free. I work a little into June and I go back on August 8th, but July is totally mine.

It was another low key week. I think we are making some progress with house breaking the boys. Next step is to begin to expand the area they are permitted to be in and transition the training to more area.

I’m starting to really feel inflation in my bank account. With the electric bills being higher, groceries costing so much more, and just overall cost of living rising, we are struggling. As my mother used to say, “There is too much month at the end of the money”. I’m trying to cut back in areas, but things are really tight.

If you live in the US, I hope you have a safe holiday! I HATE the 4th of July because my dogs do not like fireworks. Its so annoying. People set them off for like a week straight around here.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I hope you have a relaxing, safe and happy 4th of July. I hear you on inflation. When there are only a few corporations making a product (oligarchy) they can charge what they want. Corps are making record profits. That’s what happened with eggs as there are only 4 main producers. It went to $5 and now back to $1.12. I’m so happy you have this month and your new job is something to look forward to a better situation. You won’t have school next year, right? Between ARCs and the library, I spend little on reading so that can be an inexpensive hobby. Enjoy!

  3. Yeah cost of living has really risen. I am really missing the pre covid years where it was so much more affordable. Even though I make way more now, it certainly doesn’t feel like it haha

I love fireworks only on the 4th!!! haha I seriously don’t think they should be allowed on days that aren’t the holiday. I live on the outskirts of the city though, so I don’t get too exposed to them.

  4. Hooray for an entire work-free month! That must be heavenly. 🙂 Oh yeah, the fireworks started here Friday or Saturday night. I don’t get it. Go crazy all you want on the 4th… but why for a solid week??
