It was another pretty low key week. I had a doctors appoint on Wednesday, then went to the DMV to get the car registered. It was registered for a year or 2 after we stopped using it, but then I quit paying for it while the car was just sitting unused. Now that my husband needs it, I had to go to the DMV in person and get it registered again. Thankfully, it wasn’t a hassle. I didn’t have to wait long or anything.
Saturday, we had a family get together for my grandpa’s 100th birthday! His actual birthday is in October, but the family always gets together in the summer. It was nice to spend time with everyone. Of the 7 grandkids (so, me and my cousins and brother), only 3 of them had kids. So, we had some of my grandpa’s great grandkids there, but the majority of us are childless (by choice). It is always interesting to be around other adults who don’t have kids. It seems like everyone has kids, so it’s nice to be around people who don’t. We have different things to talk about than what the kids are doing. I love my cousins and their kids-but its nice to be around my childfree cousins as well.
That was about it for the week! Only 3 weeks left until I go back to school/work. I will be sad to be away from the dogs all day for sure.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

100 years! Wow that’s a feat! He has known WWII!
You went to the DMV and it wasn’t a hassle? What witchcraft is this? Seriously, that’s awesome. The MVC is a struggle in NJ. The happiest of birthdays to your grandfather. What a gift to have four generations gathered. The summer is flying. I hope you enjoy the final three weeks to the fullest.
I’m so far behind on reading everyone’s reviews! You’ve got a bunch I still need to check out. That’s great the DMV wasn’t a hassle, so rarely that happens it seems! And wow, 100 years! That’s so awesome! Enjoy your last few weeks before we go back.
Nice that you didn’t have a hassle at the DMV! You never know. Congrats to your grandpa and getting together without kids! Mine are grown and I love my grandkids, but I’m always happy to go home childless, lol! Have a great week, Sam!
Happy Birthday to your grandpa!
Wow, happy birthday to him! The DMV is one of my least fav places. At least now you need an appointment to go so it’s easier. Happy reading this week.
I’m so glad you were able to have a nice family event and that the DMV wasn’t too much hassle. And you have 3 weeks to relax and handle little tasks before you have to go to work.
