Happy June! It is super hot and dry here in SW Ohio. It hasn’t rained like like 2 weeks and they aren’t calling for rain for at least another 2 weeks. Its been in the 90’s the past couple days. So, I’m staying inside.

I’m feeling better this week. I have an endoscopy scheduled for Friday so wish me luck! I also have the 1st round of vet appointments for the dogs. With 4 dogs, we do it in rounds. First up the big dogs, Calleigh and Ranger. Its just their annual shots and stuff, but I want to ask the vet if there is a dog version of Advil we can give Calleigh when she seems to be really stiff.  Then the week after their appointment is the puppies appointment. They will be one in September and I think they are all up to date on their shots, so we just need to get them seen and get them a refill on their heartworm meds. Overall, it is just going to be a very expensive couple of weeks.

I only have 3 days left of work before summer break. However, I have nothing left to do. All my paperwork is done, my files are all closed out, and I have taken everything out of the office. So, I’m going to drive 45 min to work, sit there from 8-3, then drive 45 home. I’m really sick of the drive.

Since I passed my portfolio, I am wrapping up the last few requirements and will officially graduate soon. Then I have to jump through all the hoops to get my license (the Ohio department of Education loves hoops) and apply for my Nationally Certified School Psychologist credentials.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. It’s been the same here- 90’s all week. I hope the whole summer isn’t this hot.

Vet visits are so expensive now, especially if you have multiple animals. Good luck w/ everything! Hope you’re having a nice weekend..

  2. Yay you’ve done so well! It’s great you are all set rather than struggling to finish things. Maybe you can read, or at listen to those audios on your drive. Lulu had a lot of expenses with her emergency vet when she hurt her back, the followup and then her annual stuff.

  3. We finally got some rain the past two weeks. I do my dogs’ teeth cleanings usually in two rounds since it costs so much. But after the vet bills in May not sure about affording the teeth cleaning Dora needs. We’ll see! Hope you have a good week and get some rain soon! I’ll be reading the new Meghan Quinn this week and the new Helena Hunting soon!
