Sweet Regret by K. Bromberg is a rock star, second chance romance. Now, when I see rockstar romance, I usually pass. But, its K. Bromberg, so you know I’m gonna read it. When she said this is one of her favorite books she has written, I was totally in!
This is sort of a double second chance. They were high school sweethearts, then met again years later, then meet again a 3rd time. Vince is a rock star-groupies, fame, etc. So, there is a LOT for them to deal with. I mean, there is some serious emotional baggage to handle. Normally, I don’t like the rockstar character, but I did love Vince. He is just damaged. Bristol is great and I loved her from the start.
The angst is strong in this one for sure, so be prepared. But, it was good, productive angst, ya know? Both of them have so much to handle, but the love is there. Gah just thinking about the story has me tearing up a bit! They are not perfect people, and their lives have been messy and ugly. That is all part of what makes their story beautiful though. While sometimes their past decisions were frustrating, it was realistic. Life is messy.
Fans of emotional second chance romances will devour Sweet Regret. Its so much more than a rock star romance story.
