The Princess and the Pack (Rebellious Royals Omegaverse Book 1)

Last week was my “soft” restart for work. Tuesday I figured I should probably look at the schedule and such for our ESC. I put everything off until the last minute (totally unlike me) and was kind of rushed to get everything ready Wednesday morning. Wednesday we had our county ESC day. Meetings, paperwork, guest speaker. Pretty easy day. Thursday I ran up to my office to get a few things situated (I rearranged at the end of the school year, then my husband and I put some furniture together a few weeks ago, so everything was a mess). Friday I started looking at some paperwork, answering emails, and getting my brain back into work mode.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week are teacher PD days. My intern will be with me Monday, Tuesday, and Friday this week. I feel very unprepared. Like, I’m sure I can teach her and support her and help her become a good psych, but I have no idea about the requirements for her university or the state, and I had to help complete this form on Wednesday regarding the internship. I realized then, I have no idea what the requirements are. I know the basics-she needs to see multiple grade levels/settings, complete some interventions, get some testing experience. But, the nitty gritty?? So lost. I need to dive into that this week (the first week is easy for the psych-we don’t have any paperwork due, nobody to evaluate yet).

Saturday I power washed the house, which always feels so good. I also cleaned my car and that feels good too! Today I will be working on putting away laundry (its taken over) and meal prep.

Thursday was Ranger’s vet appointment for his annual check up. He is fine. He chews so hard on things he has 2 cracked back teeth. They don’t hurt him and they aren’t stopping him from eating and chewing. The vet said if they do, they will take them out. He told us to watch for infection, but if they aren’t causing problems, he wants to leave them alone. Pulling them can cause problems sometimes too, so for now, we are just leaving things alone.

Friday we got crazy storms. It dumped a ton of rain (again). According to the local weather, this has been the rainiest summer on record. This week its going to be hot and gross.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Hot and gross here this week too. BOO! Good luck with the intern. That’s a lot of work but should be rewarding (I hope). Poor Ranger! Maybe he will stop chewing hard things. It could happen.

  2. I totally understand feeling like there is still a lot to do! Getting into my new library I thought I’d get in and just get everything the way I wanted. But as I get in and look around I have to figure out how to do some of the things I want to do, and decide what I can actually get done this year so that it is ready for the students. Especially as now I will be teaching all the time compared to what I used to do. I won’t have all the extra time I used to have. I’m happy to be teaching, don’t get me wrong, but that will be an adjustment for all the things I am used to doing. Hope you have a good second week back too!

  3. I dream of having a power washer …..I can just imagine how well it can clean things!!!! glad you are getting adjusted slowly into the work life again. Hope you enjoyed all of that rain there.

    • The power washer is so nice! I cleaned the house and the floor mats of my car this weekend. We use on area rugs, dog beds…pretty much any dirty thing we can’t or don’t want to put in the washer!
