Yeah, I got nothin’.

Audio ARCs thanks to Tantor Audio:

I finished finals week for graduate school! Woohoo! Now, a week off before Spring Quarter starts. I have 4 classes: Practicum, Human Neuropsychology, Applied Learning Theory and Behavior Modification, and Psychoeducational Group Process. That is 1 less class than previous quarters so YAY!

Work is still a disaster. I cannot understand how society things we can continue to operate like this. Why would anyone stay in teaching after what we are put through? Why would anyone WANT to become a teacher? It’s not easy to meet the requirements to be a teacher, and with the way society is going, no one is gonna sign up for that.

I won an award!! A coworker nominated me for a regional excellence in education award for my work with students with special needs. I was very honored. Honestly, the only support teachers have is from each other-admin and society are not supportive at all and we are doing everything we can to keep each other afloat.

I’m hopefully I might get to read a book for fun this week. That hasn’t happened much lately. I have been enjoying audiobooks on my commutes at least. I really can’t listen to romance books in audio though, so most of my recent books have been true crime or thriller.

So we have been having an issue with Kroger grocery delivery. They ALWAYS go to the wrong house. ALWAYS. Even though I make a note in the delivery notes to go WEST xx and its a green house with a brick lower. Now, I agree that it is dumb that the city has the same numbers on East xx and West xx but that is not my problem. Figure it out. We get groceries delivered weekly and this continues to be an issue. EVERY WEEK. So yeah, we are about to have another delivery service. And instacart is TERRIBLE so not that.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Congratulations on finishing your exams and the award. I hope you enjoy your short break before classes start up again. The teacher shortage in NJ is so bad that they reduced the qualifications for those who go alternate route. It makes me feel like they are just looking for bodies in the classrooms. Glad my kid is grown.

  2. Congrats on the award and finishing up the finals week! Yeah, you are so right about teaching. If I wasn’t single and basically stuck because of being in teaching for so long, I’d move out of education today. But unfortunately I make enough at this point that I can’t find a new job making this much. It’s still not what people in other jobs make after 25 years, but it’s more than an entry position salary. Oh well. Hope you have a good week!

  3. I have never done grocery delivery but hope you are able to find a service that works better for you. Some great releases to look forward to there.

Hope you have a great week!
