I hope all my US friends had a nice Thanksgiving. My husband and I went to my parents on Thanksgiving, but otherwise enjoyed time at home with the dogs!
Friday evening we went to the Harry Potter Experience. Its a walk through the forbidden forest with scenes, animatronics, and interactive settings. It is outside though, and it was COLD. But, it wasn’t terrible because you are walking the whole time. It was a lot of fun! You get to see what patronus you cast (mine was a raven). Its a lot of tech stuff all throughout a forest path, which is wild. The path itself was uneven and rocky, so definitely not accessible for all people!
I didn’t do any Black Friday shopping. Money is tight and there was nothing that was such a great deal I couldn’t pass it up.
The rest of the weekend was the usual stuff-laundry, cleaning, and adulting. I can’t believe its the end of the month already. My birthday is Tuesday. Adult birthdays are not fun. My husband gets his birthday off (its a thing the company does) and I would enjoy that. But, my birthday will be filled with meetings and reports! Wednesday I have to drive to my endocrinologist appointment. Its 90 minutes away. I keep going there because I like it, and when I started seeing them, we lived much closer. Now it would just be a hassle to change doctors! I only have to go once a year.
3 weeks until Winter break! It will be packed with meetings, testing kids, writing reports, and dealing with behavior! This time of year is always fun-there is always something fun happening-but it can be really stressful for teacher too.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving.. While the next few weeks will be hectic then you get a longer break. We have worked to find great doctors so we are willing to drive a bit to get to them. I want to accept that Nalini Singh ARC but my calendar is already stuffed for January / February. Sign.
I am wishing you already a happy birthday Samantha! And I didn’t buy anything on Black Friday either.
This is such a weird time of year to try and work with kids – they are in nothing but holiday mode 😉 Glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving, and hope things go your way on your birthday!
That’s kind of nice that your husband’s job gives everyone off for their birthday. I always take off. I refuse to work on my birthday.
Happy birthday! I know a lot of teachers who take their birthday off no matter what. I am looking forward to see your review of the new Rachel van Dyken book! If I ever get caught up on my saved emails of review posts to go check out. I’m going to have to just give up on a bunch I think and delete those emails and only go to the books I really want to read, like that one. That Harry Potter thing sounds cool! Hope you have a good week, I am also so ready for these 3 weeks to go by. We ended up with an early release day and a snow day today because of the snow being a little more than expected and roads not being taken care of like they probably should have been.
