Non-Bookish News:

You guys, the weather in Ohio is ridiculous! It’s been in the 90’s all week. And next week-more of the same. I’m over it and ready for some cooler weather. At this point, just the low 80’s would be welcome.

This week, in addition to the stupid heat, I was busy. We had meet the teacher night Thursday, so I was at school from 7 am until 9 pm. Then Friday we had professional development at a school an hour away. While at the inservice I had a pretty severe panic attack. I tried to use some coping skills to get myself under control (because seriously-who wants to deal with a panic attack in the middle of a professional development with all your coworkers present), but it wasn’t working. It was really rough. I can honestly say it was one of the worst ones I’ve had. Thankfully I had my medication with me, but that made me really tired. I went to bed at 5 on Friday night and woke up at 5 Saturday morning (because I had to go to work an administer the ACT). So, it’s been a stressful week. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor this week which is good.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. So sorry about your panic attack, it’s really hard when it happens in public, even worse when it’s in work environment. I can’t wait for Autumn! Hope you have a great week.

  2. My daughter struggles with anxiety attacks also. She puts the dog on her chest and that seems to work. But our dog is about 15 pounds and is happy to give her kisses. Yay for a long night’s sleep. Sometimes you just need it. I try to just go all the time and sometimes it means I drop like that. I hope this week is smoother and you enjoy some great reads!

  3. I am sorry to hear about yoçur panic attack samantha! Do you think the meds for your other issues could cause it? Like a side effect? Anyway lat’s hope it was a one time occurence! Sending love to you!

  4. Yeah the heat is crazy, our fall in Utah doesn’t normally start until October. Although we are slowly starting to get cooler nights so I am grateful for that at least. I didn’t realize you were in Ohio? Or maybe I forgot?? I might be coming this late October so we should meet up if you are interested?

Hope you have a lovely week darling!!

  5. I’m sorry to hear about your panic attack, it’s a stressful thing to go through especially at work or in any public setting! I hope the doctor will help! We’re supposed to cool down to the 80s this week and I’m so thrilled. Hope it cools down in your neck of the woods, too.

  6. That graphic cracked me up lol. So true!!

Sorry to hear about the panic attack though! I’m not sure there’s much worse than having that happen when you;re away from home and around co- workers or in a work thing. That must have sucked! Glad you got through it though. And I hear you on the weather. Although it’s been cooler here in Michigan lately- we’ve had some sunny days but it was low 70’s. Hopefully you’ll get some of that soon. 🙂
