Non-Bookish News:

Thanks for all the support regarding my mental health news last week. The new meds seem to be very helpful so far and I am hopeful that my OCD will be fully controlled soon. I did find a psychologist my insurance covers, so I will begin cognitive behavioral therapy soon. So, the only out of pocket expense is to the the doctor who prescribes the medication and I only have to do that a few times a year.

The weather here is gearing up for a second summer. This coming week will will have highs in the 90’s. Y’all, I am so over it.

Otherwise it was a lowkey week for me. Work was fine, the students are settling in to their routine. I’m settling into my routine.

I’ve been getting into a lot more thriller/mystery books lately. I really loved the Eddie Flynn Series by Steve Cavanagh. So, I decided to grab a few thrillers/mysteries this week with my haul!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I am so happy that the new meds seem to help you Samantha! I have no doubt that with the help of a psychologist you’ll feel way better! I always find it so sad that they cost so much while our mental health is so important!

  2. I’ve never heard of Kerrigan Byrne before but it seems like in the last week or two I’m seeing her books *everywhere.* Weird. So glad that the change in dosage is helping… and even more so that you were able to find a psychologist covered by your insurance! That’s great news! Hope you get in some good thrillers this week. 🙂

  3. Samantha, I’m so glad the meds are helping AND you found a CBT therapist who takes your insurance. That’s wonderful!

I’m so over the summer weather, too. I’m really longing for fall. Or at least temperatures in the 70’s, instead of 80s and 90s like we’ll be having for the next 10 days (and possibly beyond.) I hope things cool off soon.

Meanwhile, have a great week despite the temps, and I hope you read some terrific books this week.

  4. I am glad you were able to get part of your healthcare covered by your insurance. I am still mystified, that all the doctors are not covered. I hope the CBT helps. I was so in love with these lower temps,, by we will be near 90 at some point this week too. BOO! It’s still in the 50s in the AM, though.

  5. I’ve been in thriller mode all year, seems like. I’ve been reading a ton of those! And glad to hear things are looking positive with your OCD. Good luck with CBT!

Same here on the heat. We’ve had quite the cooldown but it’s supposed to get hot again this week- I’m over it too!
