The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy is a continuation, so you must read The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy first. Osric and Aurienne are total opposites. Osric is the type to only look out for himself, while Aurienne is the most giving person. But, Osric bribes her by promising to help cure a plague that Aurienne has been working towards if she helps him.

So, by this book, these two have been working together for awhile. The banter is hot and hilarious. Seriously, its the back and forth between these two that really makes this book one to read. Osric certainly has some character growth in this book, but he is still funny. As the story continues, Aurienne and Osric are continually put in forced proximity situations. Osric convinced himself he is, in fact, not in love with Aurienne (even though he is totally in love with her). The focus is more on their relationship than the other plot points, but its the characters that make you fall in love with this story, not the plot. Knightley has written the most perfect characters and magical world. While this duet is finished, I hope she continues to write in this world as there is a uniqueness to it that is refreshing. I also really enjoy her writing style.

I listened to both books in audio and the narrators are fabulous! They do a wonderful job bringing the characters to life!
