Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are safe and healthy. My husband and I are celebrating at home, just us and our dogs. But, here are my thoughts on a bookish Thanksgiving meal.
The Main Attraction: The Turkey
I would have to say that the main attraction is a romance novel! Maybe something by Karen Rose or Linda Howard with lots of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Comfort food side dish: Mashed Potatoes
To me, the comfort food of the book world is comedy. In my world, that is romantic comedy like what Alanea Alder writes.
Classic: Stuffing
This loved side dish is kind of a must serve at Thanksgiving and it reminds me of high school required reads-the classics. As an adult, I appreciate the great books I was exposed to, but at the time, it felt like a requirement.
Dessert: Pumpkin Pie
I think a steamy romance is the perfect dessert. However, like Pumpkin Pie, it’s not everyone’s favorite. But, I think if people gave it a chance, they might change their minds!
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your books and food.
What a cute post! Love the food-book matches here. I think my meal would have a lot of romance, because it’s my favorite. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Cute match-ups! High school reading felt too much like work and I resented it at the time. I’ve learned to appreciate those works that I’ve re-read as I’ve gotten older though.
