Non-Bookish News:

We had our house appraisal Saturday. I’m exhausted! We cleaned SO HARD. Now, we wait. I hate waiting because I just worry that things won’t go well! What if they don’t appraise it for the value we need? What if they have terrible things to say in their report? UGH!

I can’t believe its March already. Like the old saying about March “In like a lion, out like a lamb” it snowed here today. Originally they were calling for 5-8 inches. By Saturday, that was down to at most an inch. I have decided that I want a job where I can be so widely inaccurate and it be totally acceptable. Seriously! Its my new job goal. “Ok, students, report cards are due tomorrow. Your grade is expected to be an A +” then hand them a report card with a D and be like “oh things changed!”.

I’m super behind in my reading. I am just not getting into many books. In February, I read 8 books. EIGHT! Thats like a new low for me. I’m not counting the ones I DNF’ed or skimmed just to finish. I’m hoping to get out of this funk.

I had a dentist appointment this week. I really get worked up about the dentist. I think its residual fears from childhood or something. But, thankfully, everything went fine and I go back in 6 months for another cleaning. Dodged the bullet for another 6 months. They really want to take out my wisdom teeth, but I am totally against it. They have never bothered me so why bother them?! Also, I’m a giant baby.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I had my wisdom teeth removed several years ago. After all the years I didn’t need to they finally started causing problems. Glad to get that over with:) It’s been so warm here but we are actually going to get in the 30s at night here for the next few days. I hope it’s the last blast before spring! Fingers crossed that you get a good appraisal report:)

  2. Ha love that about the report cards. 🙂 And yes can spring just get here already? I’m sick of snow.

I’m the same way about the dentist. I DREAD going. Although I did have some wisdom teeth a few years back and it was super easy. I had an oral surgeon because my dentist at the time didn’t do extractions, for whatever reason, and this guy literally had it out in two seconds. But I know not everyone has it that easy… hopefully you don’t have trouble with them! I’m the same way- if it doesn’t hurt, leave it there lol.

  3. We are suppose to get 5 to 8 and it keeps changing. I feel like they do that just to say they were close. Wish I had a job that I could do 50% of my work correctly.

New Kids video was fantastic, I swear they don’t age! They still look just as good as when we were kids!

Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading! xx

  4. The dentist is the only doctor I am NOT a giant baby at. I have had zero dental issues, so I have nothing to fear. Glad it went well for you, though. We are still looking at 5-8 in NJ. My daughter’s flight tomorrow morning was canceled, and she is not a happy camper, but I have no idea why she bought us tickets for the show for the winter. I wouldn’t have done it.

  5. We should all have as much leeway at meteorologists! Allowed to be wrong at least half of the time and still be employed. Ha.
Hopefully you’ll not be kept waiting too long for the appraisal report.
I’ve had two wisdom teeth taken out over the years )one at a time) and it was such a non-issue. I must have been a textbook case because it was truly no big deal. Hope your reading is better this week!
