Saturday, my husband and I celebrated 16 years of marriage. I can’t believe its been that long already. That makes me old! We didn’t really do anything (still under quarantine here in Ohio). My husband went for a motorcycle ride with some friends. I binged more Criminal Minds.

Last week was spring break for me, but tomorrow I return to the life of teaching from home. Our governor said he is going to unveil his plan for reopening everything next week. They are pushing social distancing, mask wearing, etc. I don’t see how we could possibly keep 6 feet of distance while in school. Our classrooms are PACKED. The not knowing what we will do is really stressing me out. But, what can you do? We are all in the same limbo!

I binged season 12 of Criminal Minds and am now onto season 13. I played a lot of animal crossing this week as well. That was pretty much my week.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Happy anniversary! We celebrate 15 years on the 24th. We have no plans – maybe we’ll have a drink or something. Not much you can do with a 7 month baby to care for!

Schools in TX are officially closed for the rest of the school year – they will finish remotely. They have started releasing plans to go back to norm here too. I look forward to it, but I worry that they are premature. We need more testing so we can keep from launching things all over again, IMO.

Anyway – stay safe and have a great week!

  2. Happy Anniversary! A milestone is a milestone, even in quarantine. From what I have seen, they are not pushing for schools to re-open, but I don’t know if that’s how they see it in OH. I am curious to see what other states are doing, though I don’t think NJ will be re-opening too soon. We are still spiking here. I loved Criminal Minds, but that show was sometimes too creepy for me. Glad you are enjoying it so much.

  3. Well I don’t know how you would keep your distance while teaching either Samantha!!! Now congrats on your 16 birthday!!! Let’s hope they’ll find a magic trick for you all teachers!

  4. Schools are closed here for the rest of this school year. When does your year end? My daughter’s college even plans summer classes will only be online ones. (through August) We are comfortable at home. I get plenty of books. We have enough food. Happy Anniversary!

Stay safe and have a great week! Happy reading!

  5. Happy anniversary! My husband also went on a motorcycle ride, He went yesterday on dirtbikes with our son and son-in-law.

I hope they arrange everything with appropriate distancing if you end up having to teach again at school. Not sure what they’ll do here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just did virtual teaching until Summer. Take care, Sam! 🙂

  6. Happy Anniversary ?! My husband and I will celebrate our 25th in November, which makes me impossibly old.
School returns online here next week for my kids though they will be open for children of essential workers to attend. I feel for our teachers who will somehow have to manage both face to face and online teaching.

Wishing you a great reading week and good health

  7. Happy anniversary! Mine is coming up in two weeks. We always plan a vacation around our anniversary each year but obviously that’s been cancelled this year. Boo. I’m so surprised they are trying to return to school this school year. Wow. They announced here a few days ago that schools will not reopen for this school year.

  8. Happy anniversary! Congrats on reaching 16 years. I suppose you can always do something more once this is all over. I’ve seen various things about the chance of things being reopened again soon in the US and it’s crazy to think they might do that considering everyone is still being pushed towards social distancing. I guess wait and see? The unknown of it all is deifnitely the most streessful part, though. At least if you were told what to expect you could start preparing. Hope you have a good week, enjoy Criminal Minds. That’s a show that always sucks em in when I see it on TV.
