Met her.
Got familiar.
Liked it.
A lot.
Wouldn't mind some more.
Same ol' story... they meet, roll around in the sheets, and get their happily ever after... or don't. That's how it goes, right?
So what makes us any different?
Simple. Our story involves one Presley Alexandra Beckett. The woman who takes any and every damn thing I thought I knew and flips, twists, distorts, denies and defies it until I lose track of up from down.
Just when I start to think I've got her figured out... I uncover the real reason why Presley spends her life hiding behind a wall of sassy, stubborn deflection.
And now?
Now I fix it.
Free her.
Make her mine.
Whether she likes it or not.
Elusive was a tough book for me to rate. I really don’t like Presley. By the end, you realize something happened to make her such a wall off, stone cold bitch, but its difficult to believe that someone in a family like hers had something tragic happen and NO ONE knows or called her out on her behavior. Sutton hangs around for a few weeks and he catches on, but for years no one in her family noticed?
I did like Sutton; however, I felt like he was an underdeveloped character. Why is he so deep and understanding? Why is he willing to put up with Presley’s bitchiness? Its obvious he is, but I don’t get why?
I’m hoping that all these questions will be answered in book 2, Exclusive, and that I will be able to better connect with Presley and Sutton. Elusive is the classic angst ridden new adult story: finding your way in the world is messing and hard.
