Max Morgan has known one thing his whole life. Racing.

The thrill of the race, the woman, the speed... Max loves it all.

Until he meets Leigh Storm, and for the first time ever finds he wants something as much as winning.

Leigh knows her way round an engine better than Max does and everything about her has him wanting more. But Leigh isn't planning on sticking around and even Max can't change her mind. It isn't until Leigh Storm walks out of his life that he realizes perhaps there's more to life than just fast cars and hot women.

When her father is hurt in an accident, Max is certain she'll be back, and this time he's determined to win her over.

Because Max isn't accustom to losing, at anything.

what i think

Supercharged love is a novella that takes place before the events in Quarter Mile Hearts. QMH is told from Leigh’s POV and Supercharged Love is told from Max’s. Like I said, Supercharged Love starts before QMH so you are getting more of Max’s backstory. Going into this, if you read QMH, you know where this will end so finally getting to understand it all was awesome (especially because, while I know how it ends in Supercharged Love, I also know how their story plays out). You don’t have to read QMH first but honestly, I think you should. I liked QMH better. Leigh is such a great character and Max would be difficult to really bond with if you just read Supercharged Love. Even though its from his POV, you don’t really have a full picture of who he is unless you read QMH.

Overall, this is a perfect novella for Quarter Mile Hearts fans. You get a peek into Max’s head and you get to see how much he did care for Leigh. It also worked for me because I knew how it all ended up! I enjoyed getting to see more about Sugar and Causey too. I think they could have their own book! You don’t have to be a car fan to enjoy it, but I loved hearing them talk about the different cars and stuff. Its super hot. And, as I mention in my QMH review, I love that Leigh is a mechanic. Love books with girls in uncommon professions!

Jenny writes new adult romance. When she’s not writing (or entertaining two little terrors) Jenny is glued to her Kindle, or plotting or daydreaming about hot tattooed heroes that will sweep a girl off her feet.
