From New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery comes her first duo of paranormal romances!
ONCE UPON A TIME...the most beautiful boy in the world kissed me.I've never been able to forget.Perhaps it was his jet-black hair,or the changing copper-color of his eyes, the intense way he looked at me...or the fact that he awakened my passion for the first time,at once otherworldly yet heartbreakingly real.
After that kiss, I never saw him again.
His name was Jack Beauloup.Jack, my "Beautiful Wolf."
Twenty years passed. He has returned. For me.
**********
Jack Beauloup and Darcy Turner share one, perfect kiss in high school before he vanishes from sleepy Carlisle, NH without a trace.
Twenty years later, Darcy, who has never forgotten Jack, is shocked when he suddenly appears as a guest at her cousin's wedding. Their attraction to one another is just as searing as it was in high school, but immediately there are a landslide of questions that need answers. Where did he go? Why did he disappear? And what made him return?
As they find their way back to each other, they will discover that the secrets Jack holds are enough to bind them for life, or rip them apart forever.
IT'S YOU is a two-book paranormal love story. Book #1 ends with a cliffhanger. Book #2 ends with an HEA. Both book will be available within 3 months of each other. These books are sexy and steamy and intended for readers over 18.

This is certainly a unique take on the shifter genre! A bit dark, yet still with the fated mate ideology. Regnary/Kelley has created a unique world for Darcy and Jack and that uniqueness is what I think will draw a lot of PNR fans to this book. Its become difficult to find something different!

So, as I mentioned, its a shifter story; its also a bit of a second chance story. Darcy and Jack had one kiss as teenagers, then he took off for 20 years. 20 YEARS!! The story is told mostly in the present (20 years after their 1st kiss), with flashbacks to give readers glimpses of what was. You have some lore that taps into local legend, French Canadian traditions, and sheer imagination to create this world. Then, you have the cliffhanger!!! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Have I been vague enough for you? Yeah, this is a story you really just have to read. I could tell you all the things that make the story unique, but then why would you read it? I could tell you what makes the story dark, but then again, why would you read it? I will say that while I found the premise compelling and intriguing, I was not really 100% invested. I can’t even put my finger on why. Maybe the next book will hook me in more.

About Katy Regnery

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Regnery started her writing career by enrolling in a short story class in January 2012. One year later, she signed her first contract and Katy’s first novel was published in September 2013.

Twenty-five books later, Katy claims authorship of the multi-titled, New York Times and USA Today Blueberry Lane Series, which follows the English, Winslow, Rousseau, Story, and Ambler families of Philadelphia; the six-book, bestselling ~a modern fairytale~ series; and several other standalone novels and novellas.

Katy’s first modern fairytale romance, The Vixen and the Vet, was nominated for a RITA® in 2015 and won the 2015 Kindle Book Award for romance. Katy’s boxed set, The English Brothers Boxed Set, Books #1–4, hit the USA Today bestseller list in 2015, and her Christmas story, Marrying Mr. English, appeared on the list a week later. In May 2016, Katy’s Blueberry Lane collection, The Winslow Brothers Boxed Set, Books #1-4, became a New York Times E-book bestseller.

In 2016, Katy signed a print-only agreement with Spencerhill Press. As a result, her Blueberry Lane paperback books will now be distributed to brick and mortar bookstores all over the United States.

Katy lives in the relative wilds of northern Fairfield County, Connecticut, where her writing room looks out at the woods, and her husband, two young children, two dogs, and one Blue Tonkinese kitten create just enough cheerful chaos to remind her that the very best love stories begin at home.

Jonquils for Jax, The Rousseaus #1 (The Blueberry Lane Series #12)
Marry Me Mad, The Rousseaus #2 (The Blueberry Lane Series #13)

    • It was an interesting story, it just didn’t totally grab me. But, if you check the ratings on good reads, I am like the ONLY person who didn’t love it! I might feel different once I get the entire story, ya know!?

  1. Sorry you didn’t end up enjoying it more. That’s a bummer. I get so frustrated by cliffhangers in my romances. lol! I end up waiting for the whole series to be written just so I don’t have to wait to find out what happens. haha!

    • I’m hoping maybe I will enjoy the story more once I get the second half. Everyone on good reads loved it! Maybe I was just in a funk or something!
