what i think

I was so lost. I must have said “Wait, what?” at least 40 times. And then there is a weird scene where he beats her with a belt. Then they have sex later on… It was just strange. I felt like every other page was missing or something. Surely she wouldn’t jump into bed with the guy who beat her earlier right? But even beyond that, I felt that I was missing information. About her, about the disease… everything really! It was a bit like Elle Kennedy’s Claimed which was NOT for me. I think had I know this book was like that one, I wouldn’t have started it. A lot of it was just personal preference so maybe some of thing things I mentioned won’t bother others; Maybe I am just not smart enough to keep up with what was happening and y’all will think “What was that crazy girl talking about not understanding?”! Its totally possible. Maybe I gave up trying too soon? Who knows!

if you liked

Claimed by Elle Kennedy, Hard Charger by Meghan March…then you will probably like Mercury Striking

  1. ok.. first.. I LOVE YOUR HEADER!!! then.. I hear you! I abandoned this book twice! even scheduled a DNF review but it was so painful for me! I’m a big super big fan of Rebecca! Also a blogger friend which very similar taste gave it a very good review so I tried AGAIN lol and I’m reading it now. 40% in and still frowning here and there 🙂 but I have to say I’m glad I tried again, I’m liking it. 🙂

    • Awww thanks!! This book was just one of those books that I was like “Yeah….not for me.” and at first, I felt bad but not every book is right for every reader. So, I was okay with giving this a DNF. I love Rebecca Zanetti but I just didn’t LOVE this book.
