Back in her hometown of Ruby Falls, Aria Heart is determined to find herself and the happiness that has always felt just out of reach. Something that would be a lot easier to do if her parents weren’t so close by, reminding her just why she left town as soon as she could, and if the house she just purchased wasn’t already giving her problems.
Just when Aria starts to second guess her decision, Tide Goodman knocks on her door and shoves his way under her defenses. Is it possible that the happiness she’s been searching for is attached to a man like Tide, the guy she crushed on in high school who didn’t even seem to know she existed? A man with an adorable daughter and baggage of his own?
In order to find out, she’ll have to put everything, including her heart, on the line one more time
One More Time is a small town romance with charming characters, good friendships, and steamy love! While this is book two in the Ruby Falls series, I read it as a stand alone because I didn’t realize it was book 2. This didn’t impact my understanding at all.
Aria is returning to her small hometown after a divorce. She is a bit defeated-her ex wasn’t kind to her and neither are her parents. She has a dysfunctional family dynamic for sure. She is getting settled in her new house when a disaster requires her to call a contractor and do some repairs sooner than planned. This brings Tide back into her life. They went to high school together, but ran in different circles. There is that feeling of an instant connection, but Tide has a drama filled ex and a young daughter.
Overall, the story was fairly low angst, which I always appreciate! I liked Tide and Aria but I felt like I didn’t really get to know them as much as I would like. They are developed characters, but I just felt there was a little something missing that kept me from totally connecting with them. I did LOVE that Aria is an author-it is a fun career to read about and also fit her well. One More Time is an easy read for those looking for a small town steamy romance with just a touch of angst to keep things interesting.

Her Kind of Cowboy by Dylann Crush, Going Under by Skye Jordan, Herd That by Lani Lynn Vale…then you will probably like One More Time!
I’ve never read anything by ARR but this one has really caught my eye.
