Ok I was NOT ready for the feels in Wicked Whiskey Love! I mean, I should have been. Bones is the most swoonworthy brother and Sarah is a single mom with more baggage than Delta. Bones isn’t going to let Sarah escape this thing between them no matter how hard she tries. She is terrified that the people in the town will find out her past an shun her. She wants nothing more than a happy, stable life for her kids. She is a great mom and Bones is very good with her kids.
Kids in books is hit or miss for me. And Sarah? She is currently pregnant with her 3rd. So she has 2 kids, and is pregnant and being pursued by Bones! Her son Bradley bonds with Bones and its adorable. Her daughter Lila is still just a baby (she turns 1 in the story) and has Bones wrapped around her finger. This story is packed with family feels. Sarah is living with her brother, from whom she has been separated from for years. They had such a terrible childhood, but they are trying to move forward. Plus you have all the Whiskeys adding to the family feel. These books are all about the bonds between family and friends. The small town vibe is also important and enjoyable. If you like character driven contemporary romance, you will love all the Whiskeys!
I’m also hoping that Sarah’s brother will get his own story some day!

I have a pile of first book in the series freebies by this author but have yet to read them. This sounds pretty good. I don’t like all biker stories. I am a biker. I like the ones Laura Kaye wrote. Anyway, I might have to give this series a try. Family and friend connections are awesome to read. Anne – Books of My Heart
