Non-Bookish News:
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!! I have the best mom ever! She is the one who turned me in to such a voracious reader. She got it from her mom, who was a reader as well! So, thanks to all the moms who introduced us to book and a special thanks to my mom for everything! Love you mom!!!
What a week!!! I was at work until after 5 every day last week! Then, I hit terrible traffic heading home because its rush hour and my 40 min drive becomes a 60 min drive! It was ROUGH. Hopefully though this week I can leave by 3!
We are almost to the end of the school year. This week will be my seniors last week! I can’t believe it. So, this week is filled with assemblies, pizza parties, and the senior lock in. I really love this years group of seniors and I will genuinely miss them when they are gone!
My allergies are so terrible right now. We have just hit the height of grass pollen time and that is my worst. One of my dogs came in from the back yard and is face was green from rubbing it all over the grass. I can’t remember the last time I wore my contacts.
So, that was pretty much my week! Boring huh? I leave for Europe in a month! I can’t believe its almost here!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Oh, allergies make me miserable this time of year too. It’s so sad because I’d love to be outside in all the pretty flowers, but I end up a mess!
Yeah, outside is just bad for me. I am really allergic to grass. It sucks!
Bleh to allergies! Hopefully you have medicine to help you deal with them.
It must be bittersweet that the year is ending for you! The seniors leaving, but you get a nice long vacation + Europe! I have a book by Cynthia Eden at home that I need to try. Her books sound good and I’ve been in the mood for a suspense, so I’ll pick it up.
I hope you have a good week ahead! 🙂
Happy reading!
This years group of seniors are such great kids I really am sad to see them go! Its so hard!
I adore Cynthia Eden’s romantic suspense. She writes it so well!! Taken is my favorite by her!
Oh man allergies have been so bad!! I am over it. Sounds like last week was busy but not too much more time before school is over! You must be so excited for your trip. Hope you have a great week!
I am SO excited for our vacation! I went to Italy in September, but this time, we are going to London, Paris, and Brussels and I get to go with my hubby instead of as a chaperone for 20 high school kids!
I’m actually curious about Shacking Up. I’m not sure now though. The Story of Us sounds great. I love Tara Sivec. Looking forward to your review for it. Have a wonderful week. ?
Anyway, after looking at your “related posts” above, I’ve just realized that mine were gone. I need to check out what’s wrong.
I think my problem with Shacking up is me, not the book. Seriously, I have been in a funk. I haven’t read anything by Tara Sivec so when the publisher contacted me, I decided now is the time to change that!
My comments got super messed up a few weeks ago and then I noticed a few other things that weren’t working right. It was a pain! Hopefully you get yours sorted out. For me, it was a jetpack issue!
Oh no! Shacking Up by Helena Hunting isn’t doing it for you? I have this ARC too but haven’t gotten to it yet. I was excited about it because it’s my first Hunting book.
I just can’t seem to really get into it. I think its me, not the book! I ADORE her Pucked series! Like, so much! She does great rom com!
Ohh I love Jana Aston’s writing, I definitely need to read another one of her books!
I haven’t read any of hers! I just started Wrong on audio though!
I’ve never really had allergies before but this year my sinus have been really angry. lol! My throat has been really scratchy too. It’s been miserable. Hope your allergies calm down soon, and that you have a great week!
My husband has been complaining of his throat hurting. I think its post nasal drip. My nose and ears are always the worst.
Allergies… the bad part of spring. 🙂 Hope you feel better soon. And Europe soon sounds awesome. That’s definitely something fun to look forward to. Hope you have a great week (and no traffic jams- ugh).
I am hoping to not have to stay at work so late I get stuck in traffic jams. I drive like an ass hole, so its really safer for everyone if I am home by 4!
I like your book haul…I’m curious about The Story of Us and Exposed.
My mother loved to read, too.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
Both The Story of Us and Exposed are by new to me authors but I wanted to give them a shot!
Sorry to hear about your allergies. My allergies are also acting up and I’m hoping I could get my allergies under control soon.
I have given up getting them under control! Its a battle I have obviously lost. So, I settle for drugging myself up with zyrtec and eye drops and hoping for the best!
We have such bad pollen issues in CA. My hubby is constantly on allergy medication to help control it and me I never had issues until I moved out here, now it gets to me, not as bad as others, but I feel it.
Keystone by Dannika Dark is on sale this for $.99c. I couldn’t resist that price. I’ve had my eye on the book for sometime. I should be buying more books, but when I see a deal it’s so hard. ^_^
My week was uneventful. It was actually nice. I’m getting ready for no more school. I’ll have to pull back on blog stuff and won’t have as much free time to read, so I’m enjoying the last few weeks of school.
I can’t believe we’re getting so close to the end of the school year. I am not ready for my daughter to be a high school graduate. Gah. Though I could go for a pizza party right about now. Haha.
Looks like you had an awesome week! I hope this week is just as awesome! Happy reading, Samantha and I’ve got my fingers you’ll be able to leave work by 3 this week so no more traffic!!
Sorry about your allergies, I know how you feel. At least you have a nice trip to look forward to!
Hope you have a great week!~Aleen
Great to hear to have a great mom! I believe you, she seemed to have done a fine job with you Sorry to hear about so much work and allergies but, hang in there Summer is coming!
Yikes. I’m a couple of weeks behind in my blogging right now so I’m just trying to catch up! Thanks for stopping by my blog a couple of weekends ago and hopefully I’ll be back on top of things within the week!
Happy (belated) mother’s day!
