This Week’s New Releases:
Non-Bookish News:
So, this week I have been to St. Malo and Paris this week, and today we are off to Brussels! I fly home on Tuesday. Eeeek! What have you all been up to?
I loved St Malo! It’s a beautiful town in the north of France. We also went to the D Day beaches of Normandy which was amazing to see there is a wonderful WWII museum in Caen that we spent some time at as well. We took the ferry from Dover to Calais as well it has been scorching hot (all of you in Europe know what I mean!) the places we have been don’t typically have AC because it doesn’t typically get into the 90s around London and northern France. So we have been HOT! We were in St Malo for the music festival held on June 21st every year in France. There was tons of live music of all genres and generally just a giant party. Friday we went to Versailles and to the Louvre (both amazing). We end each day exhausted though from packing so much into the day! I’m traveling with some great people though and we are having a lovely time.
Im sure I will have more to share next week. I am typing this on my iPad which isn’t ideal and wifi has been super spotty! Check out Instagram and FB for some pictures though!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
Sounds like you’re having a great time, enjoy the rest of your vacation!
Sounds like you are having a great vacation! This last week my son went to Lego camp for 3 hours. He had a blast. I also picked up a few new reads.
Happy Reading!
I am a slacker, and have not read LoS Yet. I really want to though, because I love the Shadowhunters and this series. Paris is lovely. There are so many things I wished I did. Maybe I will be able to visit again someday. I hope you have an amazing time!

Sounds like you’re having a fabulous time! We ran into the same issue the last time we were in London. It was late April/early May and out hotel didn’t have AC. Normally not an issue but it happened to be the hottest April/May in recent history… as everyone delighted in telling us. LOL My husband ended up buying a box fan at a local shop to put in the window to at least circulate some air. We had to leave it behind, obviously, but it was money well spent! 🙂
Oh man, your trip sounds amazing despite the heat! I’m so jealous. I hope you’re taking loads of pictures to share on your blog once you’re back home.
My niece lived in Caen so hearing that you visited there brings a smile to my face because Chloe loved living there even though she said it was a little ghetto in the area that she lived.
I haven’t read any of the books you did but I’m looking forward to reading your reviews. I hope you have a wonderful week, Samantha!
It sounds like you are having an amazing time! And that you were going through the same heat wave that we have been in…..I can’t remember it ever being in the high 80s low 90s in Tahoe in June, ever. But it makes perfect beach weather and the ice cold water in Tahoe doesn’t feel too cold now haha. Here’s hoping you had an amazing time on the rest of your trip! 🙂
